From HERE to THERE — an exploration in moving ideas from out of your head and into your work led by Alison M. De La Cruz. This 3 hour workshop will help participants explore their ideas through writing prompts, theater exercises and dialogue-based activities.

Alison M. De La Cruz is a multi-disciplinary theatre artist, arts educator and cultural organizer. Her solo works include SUNGKA (1999) and NATURALLY GRACEFUL (2005); she also pulled together 9 collaborators on her last original piece: WHERE YOU STAY? (2006). De La Cruz is the Administrative Director for About Productions. She is also the Lead Teaching Artist for East West Player’s PEAC Program & Special Event Producer. She collaborated with Playwrights’ Arena. De La Cruz also served as a Director, Dramaturg, and Writing/Performance Teacher for TEADAWORKS 2010.
TEADAWORKS, now in its 10th Anniversary year, as an annual development lab and festival. This season there will be 3 TEADAWORKS Master Classes. Participants of these workshop will be eligible to present a new work at the 10th Anniversary TEADAWORKS Festival in 2012.

All workshops will take place at TeAda Studio B located behind the building with the address 6071 Comey Avenue Los Angeles, CA 90034 It is a green triplex building with brown trim. Once you enter the property walk up the driveway on the right side of the building to the back, and Studio B is the second set of doors on the left, the only studio with double doors. Street parking can be found on Comey Ave, Venice Blvd, and La Cienega Blvd.
