TeAda Productions is excited to announce CreAtive Healing Lab (CHL) which will take place from March through June, 2025. As part of this series, 7 all-star guest teaching artists will facilitate 7 workshops that combine the arts, social justice, and collective healing. The goal of CHL is to be a sanctuary-third place for community to gather, process current events, imagine sustainable futures, community-build, and heal through sharing space and creating art.
The third workshop of this series is titled “Partnered Thai Massage: Exercises in Unconditional Loving Kindness” and will be led by Vivi Thai.
About the workshop: Thai massage is a practice rooted in unconditional loving kindness that can be beneficial for both the giver and the receiver - during this workshop, you will get to do both! Learn full-body techniques to help release tension in your legs, hips, back, shoulders, etc. Come with a partner or let us know in advance if you would like to be paired with one. Please bring a jacket, a yoga mat, and/or blanket if you can. Come make a friend or deepen a relationship and learn how to give and receive some much-needed healing touch. NOTE: This workshop requires consensual touching, and physical contact. We invite those that consent to and are comfortable with contact to participate.
About the facilitator: Vivi Thai is honored to come back and facilitate a Thai massage workshop for Teada. She connected with Teada as a fellow for their SEA Empowerment workshops in Long Beach. Though she's massaged people since she was a child, Vivi has been learning the loving-kindness practice of Thai massage for over six years. She thanks her incredible teachers for helping her "do" less and be more present. When not smooshing her friends, she acts in plays and plays through Acroyoga.
